Fancy Dress Birthday Card

A new challenge began today at Crafting from the Heart. The theme is Anything Goes and it's just for fun! I love to see little girls dressed up and when I saw this digital stamp at Crafty Sentiments, it had to be added to my growing collection. It's called Fancy Dress!

I colored this little girl using Copic Markers and cut her out leaving a narrow white edge. I placed soft pads on the back of the cut image to give the 3D illusion. I printed a happy birthday tag in the Craft Artist 2 program, cut it out and placed soft pads on the back. I placed two layers of printed card stock on top of a white base card and adhered the little girl and the tag on top.

I finished this cute birthday card by embellishing the card with a dimensional sticker.

I love the designs on the Crafty Sentiments site and hope to get some more cute ones in the future.

There is still time to enter the challenge at Scrapper's Delights. As a member of the Design Team, I chose to use Pearl - 1 Mermaid for my card.

I colored this cute mermaid using Copic Markers and a bit of Recollection Metalic Gold Pen on the chains, holding her top. I placed the colored image in the Craft Artist 2 program and merged it with a background from the Pebble Shore digikit. I added bubbles and text.

The composition was printed once and the mermaid was printed once alone and cut out. I placed soft pads on the back for the 3D illusion. I adhered her to the top of the scene and glued the scene to a blank white card.

I hope you enjoy my little under the sea scene and will share your work with us at the Scrapper's Delights Challenge, where anything goes.

I Love Art Canvas

http://maridigisstore2.blogspot.com.br/2017/01/c4-i-love-art.html
http://maridigisstore2.blogspot.com.br/
There's a new challenge beginning at Mari Digis and I had fun with my latest inspirational Design Team project! Lately, I have become interested in designing stores on art canvases. The inspiration came from a book I got for Christmas "Collage Couture Studio Paper dolls," by Julie Nutting. I had become aware of her wonderful rubber paper doll stamps.

For this canvas I used the digi stamp I Love Art provided to me by Mari Digi for my Design Team inspirational project. I colored her with Copic Markers and cut her out. I placed soft pads on her back. I also colored the rubber stamped Adara paper doll by Julie Nutting and cut her, but reversed her dressing her using scrapbook paper.

I painted the canvas with acrylic paint and sealed it with Beacon Decoupage. I used a Cricut Machine to cut two frames from scrapbook paper to use as store windows and stamped flowers all around them and sealed them also with the decoupage. I used scrapbook paper for an awning roof and decorated the roof with lace.

The furniture was printed using the Deco Dressing Room Digikit the Craft Artist program and then cut out. Small doilies were used at the top of the window frames and also decoupage was painted over them. I made flowers from assorted pieces and used a variety of arty stickers to embellish the canvas.

I'm looking forward to seeing your projects using a Mari Digi image on our challenge!

Scrapper's Delights has a new challenge beginning today. I chose to use two images from the wonderful Scrapper's Delights collection for my Design Team inspirational card. My choices were Nerissa Mermaid 1 and Sea Rock 2, which I combined for a lovely under water scene.

The 2 images were colored using Copic Markers and merged in the Craft Artist 2 program with a background from the Water Garden digikit. I printed the whole scene once and just the mermaid once. Then I cut the mermaid out an place soft pads on the back. I adhered her to the picture, creating a 3D scene.

Shopping Sandy's Dress Shop Canvas

I'm so excited, I have the honor of being chosen one of the three GDs for the month of February, for Imagine That. For my first project, I chose to use Shopping Sandy.
http://www.imaginethatdigistamp.com/store/p855/Shopping_Sandy.html
I made a canvas collage dress shop inspired by a book, which I got for Christmas, "Collage Couture Studio Paper Dolls," by artist Julie Nutting.

I used Copic Markers to color this cute image and cut it out, placing soft pads on the back. I also made a rubber stamped Prima paper doll (Adara by Julie Nutting) backward. Soft pads were also placed on the wrong side of the little girl paper doll.

The 12 x 12" canvas was painted with acrylic paint and sealed with Beacon Decoupage. The shop windows were cut from scrapbook paper using the Fancy Frames cartridge in the Cricut Machine. I also cut dress forms in the same machine from the Nifty Fifties cartridge. Dresses were stamped on scrapbook paper and cute from a few Julie Nutting Prima stamps. I cute one small doily in half and placed it at the top of each window frame. The pieces were glued in place and sealed again with Beacon Decoupage.

I made an awning roof and embellished it with a printed sign and lace and glued it in place. Butterflies were cut using a Martha Stewart punch and flowers were made from a variety of floral pieces. Each of these was glued in place.

The digi image of Shopping Sandy by Imagine That and the Adara paper doll were added to the canvas to finish off the display canvas.

Each of the Imagine That images comes with numerous other pieces. I hope you are inspired by my canvas and check out the many lovely imaged at the Imagine That shop.

Fabrika Fantasy has a new challenge for February and the theme is to add a heart.

I chose the Valentines Dance image for my inspirational Design Team card. It's going to be my anniversary card for my hubby!

I colored the image with Copic Markers and placed it in the Craft Artist 2 program. I merged the image with several elements from the Soul mates digikit. I printed the whole design once and then just the digi image once. I cut out the single image leaving a narrow edge. I placed soft pads on the back of the cute image to give the 3D illusion and adhered it to the original design. This was adhered to a piece of card stock and onto a blank white card.

Valentine Card

http://digistamps4joy.co.za/eshop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13&products_id=1041
http://digistamps4joy.co.za/eshop/
Ah it's February and a new challenge is at Digistamps4joy. I took ownership of this month's challenge, as it's a special month for me. The optional theme this month is red for Valentine's Day! My anniversary is the day after Valentine's Day! Because it is the day after, we always celebrate the event the whole week! We give each other double cards, it's hard to find an anniversary - Valentine card!

When I saw "Hello Dear," in the Digistamp4joy shop, I knew it would be great fun to work on. It was!

I colored this fun image using Copic Markers and merged it with several elements in the Craft Artist 2 program. I printed the card design once and then printed the colored image once alone. I cut the lone image out leaving  narrow red edge. I placed soft pads on the back and placed it on top of the total design creating a 3D illusion. The card design was adhered to a printed card stock and then on to a blank white card.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the participants to the challenge at Digistamps4joy share in the challenge this month!
