Steampunk Hat Card

https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/269362610/digital-stamp-digi-coloring-hat-stamps?ga_search_query=steampunk+hat&ref=shop_items_search_1
https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/JuliaSpiri?ref=l2-shopheader-name
The current sponsor of the Classic Design Team Open Challenge is Julia Spiri. I chose to use the Steampunk Hat for my Design Team inspirational card.

I colored the image with Copic Markers and cut it out leaving a narrow white edge. Using my Cuddlebug Machine, I cut gears from the Sizzix Bigz Gadget Gears die. I rubbed Distress Ink over a piece of paper embossed with Pocket Watches, which I made from the Sizzix embossing folder, also in my Cuddlebug Machine. I cut out 2 watches .

I adhered a gold piece of card stock to a black base card. Next I glued the 3 gears and 2 watches onto the gold card. Finally I adhered the Steampunk Hat to the top of the card.

I hope this card inspires you to try your luck at the Classic Design Team Open Challenge, where anything goes for those who are design team members.

Happy New Year Card

https://www.zibbet.com/rick1949/rosy-romanza-valentine-girl-digi-stamp
https://www.zibbet.com/rick1949
There's a new challenge at A Snowflakes Promise and it's being sponsored by Rick St. Dennis. I chose Valentine Girl to use for my Design Team Inspirational card. Instead of Valentine's Day she is decked out for a New Year's Eve gala!

I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and blended the outfit using a Prismacolor blender. I cut the girl out leaving a white edge and put soft pads on the back to create a 3D illusion.

I trimmed a die cut sheet from the Recollections pad to fit over a multi colored blue piece of card stock. I adhered the two layers on the top of a blank scalloped edge card.

I printed and cut out a small New Year's tag in the Craft Artist 2 program, which I placed on the card and popped the Valentine Girl on top.

I hope to see your work in the challenge at A Snowflakes Promise!

A Paper Doll Showcase: Penny

Penny Paper doll wears her Kimono in a scene made in Craft Artist 2.
Penny Paper doll wearing her Cheer Leader Outfit.
Penny Paper Doll wearing a Teen clothing outfit.

http://digistamps4joy.co.za/eshop/

Did you know that Digistamps4Joy has a lovely paper doll and three so adorable outfits? Penny is so cute and because she is  digital image, she's very versatile. Each outfit is sold separately. You can merger her as I did above with each outfit and color her. In this way you can use her as you would  digi image...maybe for a birthday card. I put Penny in her Kimono and in a lovely scene made in the Craft Artist 2 with the Oriental Blossom digikit.
Penny wearing digital plaid in Ms Santa clothes.
You can print Penny and her outfits separately, add tabs for the clothing to hang from the doll and then color and cut for traditional paper doll fun. Here I have merged Penny and her cheering outfit to show you, how to work with her. Outfit and doll sold separately.
Instruction sheet
You could also use the printed cute outfits as a template to design your own fashions. These can be colored or cut from print scrap paper. I used the Penny image to design 2 dresses. It's just another way to use this set.
Any of these suggestions could of course be adhered to Penny and used as a motif on a card, tag or other type of project. These and many more are yours to choose.

Paper doll fun could be a young persons' first experience in the creative fashion process.

Have fun and show us your designs in the current challenge at Digistamps4Joy.

http://www.disdigistamps.com/

Dis Digistamps is currently sponsoring the challenge at Crafting from the Heart and you can win some pretty wonderful digi stamps, if you participate. Since the Design Team had the chance to pick their images from any artist I chose Steam Punk Sally from Stitchy Bear for my inspirational card.

Here I am practicing my Copic Markers again!
I used the following colors:

E00, E000, E13, E15, E18. E21, E29
BV11, BV08,
V17
B32, B34, B37, B39

I also used a black Micron 01 Pen for some of the fine line details. For the bit of gold I used a metallic Recollections Pen. I embossed a cream colored piece of card stock using the Sizzix Steampunk Embossing folder and rubbed Distressing Ink over the surface with a blending tool. the gears were cut using the Sizzix Gadget Gears die. I used my Cuddlebug Machine for these embellishments. I layered these on a black base card and adhered Sally to the top.

I hope you are planning to join the challenge at Crafting from the Heart, where anything goes!

Santa's Visit Card

http://scrappersdelights.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=89_97&products_id=795
http://scrappersdelights.com/store/

Check out the current challenge at Scrapper's Delights!

For this one holiday greeting card, I used three Scrapper's Delights digital stamps, including: Room 2, Father Xmas Digi Stamp 5 and Xmas Room1.

First I colored Room 2 with Prismacolor Pencils and then cut out the window. I placed a sheet of printed card stock, to show clouds behind the window opening. It was scanned and placed in the Craft Artist 2 program.

Second I colored the Father Xmas Digi Stamp 5 with Prismacolor Pencils and scanned it and placed it in the Craft Artist 2 program, where I merged it with Room 2. I printed the room with Santa once and then printed Santa alone. I cut Santa out and placed soft pads on the back and adhered Santa to the room scene creating a 3D image.

Third I cut away the room part of Xmas Room1, saving the branches and gifts. I colored the branches and gifts with Copic Markers and Prismacolor Pencils and placed thicker soft pads on the make. It was adhered to the room scene letting the door show through the branches. The scene was glued to a green mat on a white base card.

There is still time to enter the challenge at Scrapper's Delights. Hope to see your work there!

I colored this cutie using Copic Markers and cut him out leaving a narrow white edge.

I adhered a blue stripe card stock to a white basic card. Using the Sizzix Thinlits Dies, I cut and embellished a blue baby dresser and a cute teddy bear. These were adhered to the striped card stock. I placed soft pads to the back of the boy, which gives a 3D illusion, when it was popped on top of the card.

I hope you are inspired to try your luck in the  World Wide Open Design Team Challenge, which is open to other Design Team members around the globe. Theme is as always anything goes.

Three Singing Elves Card Boxes

Box Holds 8 Elf Cards
Flynn
When I saw the first of Mo Manning's Singing elves, I knew right away I had to own all three!

I colored each with Copic Markers, planning where to enhance the images with simple patterns drawn with those markers.
Wynn and Bryn

Bryn
I cut each elf out in two sizes to work with a small set of blank Christmas cards. For some I used my Cuttlebug and cut black lampposts with the Tim Holtz Alterations (Sizzix) die.

Wynn
I adhered the elves and lamppost to the cards and made card stock boxes for 2 collections. Each box holds 8 cards.
Second Box

It was a fun project to work on.
